“Jarlsbergers” hamburger


  • 800 g minced beef (hamburger meat)
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 tsp salt
  • Black pepper
  • 4 slices of Jarlsberg® cheese


Combine all ingredients except cheese, and shape into four large patties. (The egg whites will make the burgers juicier.) Season with salt and pepper. Fry or grill the burgers for about 3 minutes on each side, making sure the meat is cooked through. When almost done, top each burger with a slice of Jarlsberg® to let it melt.

  • 4 large hamburger buns
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • Iceberg lettuce leaves (1/2 head)
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 large sweet or dill pickle, sliced
  • Mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard (to taste)
