Golden Apple Pie


Piecrust

  • 100 g Ski Queen, shredded
  • 150 g white flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 50 g butter

Filling

  • 300 ml custard (or store-bought custard mix)
  • 4 apples
  • 50 g raisins
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 100 g Ski Queen, shredded
  • Flaked almonds


Preparation

Pre-bake piecrust in a 22 cm pie dish at 400° for 10 minutes.

In a food processor, combine the flour, baking powder, shredded cheese and butter until dough is consistent. Wrap and refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes. Press the dough into a greased pie pan. After pre-baking, pour an even layer of custard filling into the cooled piecrust. Peel and core the apples, cut them into thin wedges and arrange them evenly in the custard. Sprinkle raisins, sugar, cinnamon, almond flakes and grated Ski Queen on top. Bake the pie at 400° for another 15 – 20 minutes until the apples soften. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
